COOS Targets Candidates with Latest Online Initiative The CAS Committee on Online Services (COOS), in conjunction with the CAS Student Liaison Committee, has launched a new online service for those taking CAS examinations. Those preparing for CAS Examination Parts 6, 8, and 10 can now join E-mail Study Groups online through the CAS Web Site. Forming study groups via E-mail gives candidates quick access to other individuals preparing for examinations. Study Group participants are encouraged to discuss any topic that might be of interest to people who are preparing for the examinations. Discussions could include thoughts on exam preparation seminars or explanations of a required reading. If this pilot program proves popular, it may be expanded in the future to include study groups for all exam parts. To join a study group, send an E-mail to caslists@lists.casact.org. In the body of the message, type join studygroup6, join studygroup8, or join studygroup10, as appropriate. An E-mail message will be returned confirming that you have been added to the study group. Along with the E-mail study groups, Study Tool Web Pages have been established to give candidates the ability to share useful exam preparation material. |
