Revised exam structure

I have a question about the revised exam structure in the year 2000. Perhaps
a member of the exam committee is on casnet and can help me.

What is the spring/fall schedule of exams in 2000? This does not appear
to be addressed in the transition report.

I expect to take my last exam, Part 8, for the first time in spring 1999.
If I do not pass on the first try, I'll be taking the new Part 7 in 2000.
If odd exams are still given in the fall, does this mean that I will have
to wait 18 months to take this exam again?
