With the input and support of the CAS, the SOA Joint Risk Management Section is holding an ERM Web Day - a three-part webcast series on October 12th. This series is for ERM Practitioners who want to learn more about ERM in a Pandemic World and who might have attended a CAS-SOA-CIA Enterprise Risk Management Symposium in the past.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce that eight university students have been selected as recipients of the 2021 CAS Trust Scholarship, an honor created to further students’ interest in the property and casualty actuarial profession and encourage the pursuit of the CAS designations. The scholarship program is funded by donations to the CAS Trust. This year’s awardees are Reiner Atstathi, Olivier Cote, Josh Gordon, Sankar Krishna, Claire Liu, Simon Llaguno, Molly Olander, Ana Romo and Maurice Williams.

Volunteerism is a core value of the CAS and over 1/3 of CAS members give back to the Society by volunteering! Volunteering helps you build your network, influence the direction of the CAS , and expand your skills!

I am incredibly grateful for the collaborative support of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and its members! Through the amazing generosity of the CAS Community, $56,310 was raised for the Math Motivators Tutoring Program and the Underserved Engagement Initiative of the Modeling the Future Challenge through the CAS Community Counts Challenge.
