Interim Results and Runoff Tests

Abstract

Reserve values must sometimes be generated at times when a complete reserve analysis may be impractical. For example, a complete reserve evaluation might be done quarterly or semi-annually yet reserve estimates may be needed for monthly financials. This session will discuss techniques useful for estimating reserves at such times. Among the topics to be considered will be a discussion of how to calculate the change in IBNR and the expected reported incurred for such interim periods.
