Abstract
This session will explore the unique accounting structure and reserving features of Lloyd’s, and will highlight the problems typically encountered in reserving for the liabilities of a Lloyd’s syndicate.
The Council of Lloyd’s is reviewing, among other things, the three-year accounting structure and the basis on which the future liabilities are estimated. This session will report on the latest position with regard to these and other related developments and explore the pros and cons of potential changes. The likely impact on US companies will be discussed.
