Multiple Injury Accidents and Losses in Excess of Any Specific Retention: Pennsylvania Workmen's Compensation

Abstract
In the fall of 1945, at the request of the Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner, the Pennsylvania Compensation Bating and Inspection Bureau made an analysis of multiple injury accidents occurring under the workmen's Compensation Act. While at present the question of rate-making for this form of insurance in Pennsylvania is somewhat academic, the tabulations made in connection with the Bureau's study, as well as others which have been compiled since that time, are factual , and it is hoped they will serve as a statistical approach to the problem of determining pure premiums for excess workmen's compensation insurance.
