Thank you for deciding to submit a proposal for the 2023 Seminar on Reinsurance.
The Casualty Actuarial Society is pleased to announce that the Seminar on Reinsurance will be back in person in 2023. We invite you to be a part of this exciting seminar anticipated by many in the Reinsurance community. The 2023 Reinsurance Seminar Working Group is soliciting your submission of proposals for presentations at the upcoming event scheduled for June 5-6, 2023, in Philadelphia, PA.
Concurrent sessions will be 75 minutes long. Roundtables will be 50 minutes long. As this will be a hybrid event, some of the sessions may be livestreamed.
We appreciate your willingness to contribute to the actuarial body of knowledge.
Please complete each item in this call as this helps the seminar organizers to select the best sessions. This also helps you to crystalize your thinking as you prepare your actual presentation so that you may hone your presentation to the desired audience.
The 2023 proposal reviewers will also pay particular attention the following criteria:
- Informative and relevant, with clear and immediate application to the work of audience participants.
- Strong proposals will focus tightly on specific content rather than including every aspect of the topic and will include opportunities for learner engagement.
We are looking for sessions that focus more deeply on a narrow topic that will help the audience leave the session with solid understanding and useful applications.
