CAS Members to Present on Bias and Discrimination, Cloud Security, New Data Sources at RIMS 2022 RISKWORLD
Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) members are among those presenting at next week’s RIMS 2022 RISKWORLD in San Francisco, CA from April 10-13, 2022. RIMS, the risk management society, will welcome the world’s risk management community of insurance and brokerage industry leaders, business strategists and professionals at all levels with over 100+ sessions on trending topics.
CAS DE&I Staff Actuary Mallika Bender, FCAS, will present the latest from the CAS Research Paper Series on Race and Insurance Pricing in a session entitled “Defining Bias and Discrimination in Insurance: What Risk Professionals Need to Know.” Taking place on Tuesday, April 12 from 11:00am-12:00pm PT, the session will help attendees learn commonly used terms in the discrimination debate in insurance and prepare them for the ever-evolving legal landscape that surrounds these terms in insurance. The session will be co-presented with Claire Howard, SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association.

Nick Gurgone, FCAS, consulting actuary, Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, will explore the cyber insurance market and data challenges on Wednesday, April 13 from 10:30-10:50am PT.
