The article is part of the publication’s celebration of Insurance Careers Month and covers the many factors that make the actuarial career unique and rewarding.

Armstrong documents his journey from his first actuarial exam up to his current role at Allstate and his time volunteering with the CAS. He particularly notes the sense of community and the culture of “giving back” that comes with the actuarial profession.
