Highlights from the 2024 CAS Annual Meeting: Celebrating Achievements, Announcing New Initiatives and Building Community

Thank you to all who joined us at this year’s CAS Annual Meeting! Over the past few days, we’ve celebrated our newest class of Fellows and Associates—305 Fellows and 334 Associates—who are bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to our community.

In exciting news from the event, CAS CEO Victor Carter-Bey announced expanded exam opportunities for our candidates. Starting in 2025, MAS exams will be held three times a year, with Exam 7 offered twice, and by 2026, MAS exams will be available four times annually, with Exams 8 and 9 offered twice. This will enhance flexibility for our candidates as they pursue their professional goals.

At the Annual Meeting’s Town Hall, CAS leaders shared the transformative vision of the 2025 CAS Strategic Plan. This plan, shaped through extensive member input, will guide CAS’s future and advance career opportunities for actuaries. Attendees engaged with leadership on the priorities and outcomes that will drive our profession forward.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from Anna Maria Chávez, one of Fortune’s “World’s 50 Greatest Leaders” and the former CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA. Her insights on leadership, resilience and impact inspired us all.

And of course, no Annual Meeting would be complete without a night of camaraderie and fun. Attendees enjoyed an unforgettable evening at Rustler’s Rooste, complete with live music, cowboy games and the spirit of the Old West.
A special thank you to our speakers and sponsors for helping to make the event a success!

Thank you for a memorable meeting! We’re excited to announce our 2025 CAS Annual Meeting, set for November 10-13, 2025, at the Fairmont Austin in Austin, Texas. Registration will open in May 2025.

Mark your calendars and get ready for another inspiring event where we’ll continue advancing the actuarial profession together. Stay tuned for more details!
