Mallika Bender, CAS DE&I Staff Actuary Interview with the Conference of Consulting Actuaries
Last month, Mallika Bender, FCAS, MAAA, was featured in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (CCA) Leadership Development Interview Series.
The CCA conducted their Leadership Development Interview Series to help viewers develop and refine their leadership skills and become a more successful professional. Mallika sat down with Immediate Past President of the CCA and Actuary & Investment Consultant, Michael Clark. During Mallika’s three-part interview series, she discusses diversity, equity, and inclusion and the qualities that make a great leader.
Mallika Bender currently works as the diversity, equity and inclusion staff actuary at the CAS. At the CAS, Mallika helps the CAS build awareness and educate stakeholders on DE&I topics and develop strategies to increase diversity of both the CAS candidate and leadership pipelines. Bender came to the CAS with 13 years of industry experience and a passion for DE&I initiatives. Prior to becoming staff actuary, Bender joined the CAS Diversity Committee in 2015 and helped facilitate diversity training sessions in her previous professional roles.
