Town Hall on Preparing the Actuary of the Future: Recording Now Available

A Town Hall discussion was held in conjunction with the 2023 CAS Spring Meeting on Monday, May 8, 2023 on the topic of “Preparing the Actuary of the Future.”

A recording of the Town Hall meeting is available via the CAS Online Learning Center.

The Town Hall began with a brief overview of the changes announced so far as part of the CAS Admissions Transformation Plan (ATP), and what lies just over the horizon. These changes include:

  • Adopting new exam design and development
  • Incorporating new exam features
  • Updated content outlines (syllabi)

Attendees, both in-person and those live streaming the Town Hall, were then invited to share their thoughts with the CAS admissions leadership team on how well the CAS is preparing the actuary of the future.

The Town Hall was facilitated by CAS President Roosevelt Mosley, FCAS, and featured a panel that included John Kleine, Chief Growth and Product Officer, Margaret Lyons, Director of Certification Development, Frank Chang, FCAS, CAS President-Elect, and William Wilder, FCAS, CAS VP-Admissions.
