Update New Profile Questions in Your CAS Member Dashboard!

In our ongoing effort to promote inclusion and diversity, the CAS Board voted unanimously to add an optional profile question to the CAS Member Dashboard and to amend another.

Your CAS Member Dashboard now includes an option to specify your pronouns. Members who want their pronouns displayed publicly in the CAS member directory can choose from three pre-filled options (“he/his”, “she/her”, “they/their”) or select “Not Listed” to write in their own pronouns. Members who do not wish to share their pronouns can skip this question in their profile.

Your CAS Member Dashboard now includes expanded response options for Gender Identity.

Members can select from three pre-filled options (“Man”, “Woman” or “Non-Binary/Third Gender”) or choose “Not Listed” and write in their own response. Members who do not wish to share demographic information with the CAS can choose “I Prefer Not to Answer” for this or any of the demographic questions. As a reminder, gender identity, race or ethnicity, disability and veteran/armed forces are collected so the CAS can better understand the diversity of our membership and monitor the effectiveness of CAS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion activities.While aggregated statistics may be published, individual responses to these demographic questions are not publicly displayed.

We believe these are positive changes to promote inclusion and increase our ability to promote the property/casualty (P&C) actuarial profession to all individuals in the future.Please take a few minutes today to review and update your online CAS member profile.

How to Update Your CAS Profile:

Visit the CAS website. Log into your CAS Profile. Click on “Edit Primary Info” to update your profile information.
