Mutual Recognition
The CAS maintains mutual recognition agreements with four actuarial organizations: the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, the Institute of Actuaries of India, and the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
CAS Credentials
For those practicing actuaries who are not eligible for mutual recognition, CAS credentials can be achieved by passing a series of required exams. Our pathway will lead you to our globally recognized Associate of the CAS (ACAS) or Fellow of the CAS (FCAS) designations.
Affiliate Members
The CAS welcomes qualified actuaries who practice in the General Insurance field, but do not meet the requirements to become an Associate or Fellow of the CAS, to become Affiliate Members of the CAS.
Professional Education
The CAS offers a wide range of high-quality professional education programs. In addition, the University of CAS (UCAS) online learning center hosts a wide variety of webinars, on-demand events, and courses. Some of our offerings are available in Chinese, French, and Spanish. Significant registration discounts are provided for people residing in nearly 150 countries worldwide.
Volunteer Opportunities
Highly engaged volunteers are a defining characteristic of the CAS and we have volunteer opportunities for both members and candidates. Our volunteers support outreach to employers, academic institutions, professional groups, and regulators in emerging actuarial markets around the world; help shape professional education programs; support CAS exam development; and increase the quality of international member engagement.
