Call For Presentations - 2022 CAS Seminar on Reinsurance
New York City, NY
June 13-14, 2022
Proposals for presentations are due no later than January 14, 2022.
OVERVIEW
Objective
The purpose of this seminar is to provide information on a variety of reinsurance topics. Practical approaches to problems will be presented and discussion will be encouraged. Participants can expect to gain awareness and insight into difficult issues and are encouraged to share their own ideas.
Target Audience
The program is intended primarily for the experienced actuary (or other experienced industry professional) with knowledge of reinsurance. Some sessions will involve technical pricing, reserving, and modeling issues, while others will be of a more general reinsurance nature.
Format
The seminar will consist of one general session as well as concurrent break-out sessions. Some of the breakout sessions will be offered twice to allow for smaller audiences and to keep scheduling flexible.
The 2022 Reinsurance Working Group responsible for organizing this event is particularly interested in the speaker sharing real-world, hands-on experiences. The most relevant lines of reinsurance are non-life (also known as property/casualty or general insurance) and health insurance.
The Working Group is issuing this call to solicit ideas for professional content ideas for sessions. The Working Group wants your ideas and proposals for sessions that will deliver valuable content and will be highly engaging to attendees.
The Working Group has the final authority to select session topics, presentations and speakers that best meet the educational and professional objectives of the seminar. They reserve the right to work with potential speakers to adjust the content of a session to meet those needs. Also, the Working Group recommends that proposed panelists in a specific session be from a minimum of two different employers.
Please submit your proposed session title, session description, speaker(s), presentation language(s), and other requested information using the online submission process no later than January 14, 2022.
