Important Update: Temporary Exam Registration Process in CAS Portal
To: All CAS Candidates
As previously announced, the CAS is excited to launch our new and improved e-commerce platform and user database, the CAS Portal. The CAS Portal will officially launch in late January 2025 and will require a few weeks of temporary outage during the transition. Because of this one-time upgrade, the registration process for the April/May 2025 exams will open prior to the official launch, phased by candidate location.
Active candidates will receive an email when it is their time to register.
To ensure the rollout works properly, we ask that candidates please refrain from forwarding their registration invitation.
Registration for all CAS exams and products will resume as normal on February 1.
We appreciate your understanding as we implement this temporary process to better serve you.
Here’s what candidates need to know about the upcoming registration changes:
1. Phased Rollout of Registration:
Registration availability will be introduced gradually by location over the new system’s beta testing period of up to two weeks. During this time, candidates will receive instructions from the CAS on how to login (using an existing system email) to the new CAS Portal and access your profile.
2. Timing of Registration:
A candidate’s assigned access date will be the earliest point at which they can register. While registration on that specific date is not mandatory, it is a candidate’s first opportunity to select their exam location and secure their preferred options. This is not a guarantee that a preferred time and location will be available, only that this is the first time candidates will be able to access the new CAS Portal and subsequently schedule with Pearson VUE.
3. Next Steps for Candidates:
- Look for an email containing your new CAS Portal login information in mid-January. Emails will be sent on the morning candidates are eligible to start registering.
- Upon receiving, candidates may log in to explore the new system and register at their convenience. Please note that upon first login, the candidate will be asked to reset their password, set up multi-factor authentication and update your profile before proceeding. We recommend setting aside 15-20 minutes for the initial set-up.
- If you experience any issues, CAS customer service will be available to assist you.
Exam registration will be rolled out by location to avoid impacting exam sitting availability. This will create an equitable exam registration experience. Smaller volume testing areas will receive their logins first, while larger testing areas will receive their logins last.
Updates with further information will be provided as we approach the phased registration window.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we implement these enhancements to better serve you.
