Introducing the CAS Employer Network – A New CAS Volunteer Opportunity

In alignment with our 2025 Strategic Plan—focusing on Building Skills for the Future and Advancing Operational Excellence—the CAS is excited to launch the CAS Employer Network, a new initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between CAS and employers of actuaries.

As part of this initiative, we are introducing a new CAS volunteer opportunity: the CAS Employer Network Representative. This role is a meaningful way to give back to the actuarial profession while helping to shape the future of CAS and its collaboration with employers.

Employers are asked to designate one primary representative to serve as a liaison between CAS and their organization, with the option to designate a secondary representative as a backup.

Why Participate?

By joining the CAS Employer Network, organizations will:

  • Stay informed on CAS programs and initiatives affecting members and candidates.
  • Influence CAS strategies by sharing employer perspectives on credentialing, education, and volunteerism.
  • Enhance employer support for CAS credentials and professional development.

The Role of a CAS Employer Network Representative

As a CAS Employer Network Representative, you will:

  • Take on a new CAS volunteer role that strengthens employer engagement with the CAS.
  • Serve as an internal champion for CAS credentialing, education, and volunteer opportunities within your company.
  • Help shape CAS strategies by communicating employer needs and priorities.
  • Make a difference by giving back to the profession and supporting the next generation of actuaries.
  • The expected time commitment is 1-2 hours per month.

CAS Employer Network Representative Position Description

How to Get Involved

Employers are encouraged to identify members of their organization who are well-suited for this role by May 30, 2025. If you are interested in serving in this role, connect with your employer, as Employer Network Representatives are designated by their organizations. Once a representative has been selected, the employer should submit their nominee(s) directly to CAS Director of Candidate and Employer Engagement, Stephanie Litrenta via this form to be added to the CAS Employer Network.

By participating in this network, employers will stay better informed of CAS activities affecting members and candidates. Your involvement can make a real impact—join us in this effort!
