Thank you for your interest in volunteering to be part of the Focus Group for the Actuarial Professional Analysis (APA) Survey Review. We are looking for 7-10 volunteers to help go over the results of the APA Survey that went out to the broader CAS community in early October. This will involve interpreting the open-ended results of the survey, interpreting criticality and frequency ratings results, interpreting final results with a future skills lens, and providing recommendations for assessment considerations.
Time commitment for this project is predicted to be 20 hours of asynchronous work and meetings, as well as the opportunity to meet in person during the Annual Meeting for those who will already be attending (virtual meeting capabilities for those who are not attending Annual).
There will be six meetings in total: five one-hour virtual meetings, one in person meeting during Annual Meeting, beginning mid-October and concluding mid-December.
Qualifications:
- FCAS preferred
- Out of the box thinking
- Experience with forward thinking, innovative actuarial skills preferred
- Already attending Annual Meeting preferred
- Experience in at least 3 of the following topics:
