Guidelines for Submitting Questions and Comments to the Board of Directors

The CAS Board of Directors values member questions and feedback. We encourage you to use this form to share your comments and questions with the Board.

To ensure an efficient and respectful exchange of information, please review the following guidelines before submitting your question or comment:

  1. Submission Process
    Members may use this form to submit questions or comments directly to the Board. 
  2. Response Process
    The Board will review and respond to questions within 10 business days of submission. Responses will be sent to the email address provided in the submission form. 
  3. Public Posting Option
    Members may request that their questions and responses from the Board be publicly posted. Public postings require up to 10 business days for review and processing. CAS reserves the right to decline posting submissions and responses. Publicly shared questions will display your name. 
  4. Appropriate Scope of Inquiries
    1. CAS Governance and Policy: Questions should focus on CAS governance issues, policy, strategic direction, or other high-level matters that fall within the Board’s purview.
    2. Operational Issues: While the Board welcomes operational feedback, detailed queries about day-to-day management may be redirected to the appropriate department or committee when necessary. 
  5. Out of Scope Topics 
    1. Legal Matters: The Board cannot comment on ongoing or potential legal proceedings. 
    2. Disciplinary or Investigatory Matters: Questions related to specific disciplinary actions, internal investigations, or private member complaints will not be addressed via this forum. 
    3. Confidential Information: Requests for information considered confidential by the Board will not be addressed via this forum. 
    4. Prolonged Threads: Extended back-and-forth debates or repetitive questions that do not add new perspectives or information may be curtailed. To maintain a productive dialogue and respect everyone’s time, once a topic has been adequately addressed, the Board reserve the right to decline to respond. 
  6. Respectful and Professional Conduct
    All questions and comments must adhere to the CAS’s standards of professionalism. Offensive or derogatory language, personal attacks, or harassing questions and comments will not be tolerated. 

By submitting a question or comment, members acknowledge and agree to abide by these guidelines. The Board reserves the right to decline to respond to submissions that do not comply.
