As Women’s History Month 2021 ends, let’s discuss women’s futures. We devote the month of March to honoring the accomplishments of women around the world.

Actuarial Review March-April 2021 is now available.

The Casualty Actuarial Society, in conjunction with the CAS Monograph Committee, is pleased to extend a call for monographs on the topic of Claim Inflation (often commonly referred to simply as “Trend”). The purpose of this call is to develop a source of literature with emphasis on the educational and professional needs of actuaries to systematically and explicitly account for claim inflation with particular focus on its impact on P&C actuarial pricing and reserving.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and Society of Actuaries (SOA) recently hosted three Be An Actuary programs in conjunction with Arizona State University, DePaul University and Temple University.

As part of the CAS Strategic Approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) adopted by the Board of Directors in September 2020, the CAS has committed to setting concrete goals and maintaining transparency and accountability on progress on our DE&I initiatives.
