Whether you are totally new to presenting at a CAS/AAA event, or an experienced pro, your submission ideas are welcome. Don’t have enough content for a 60-minute presentation? Not a problem. You can be paired with other presenters or facilitate a less formal CLRS Roundtable discussion.

The Casualty Actuarial Society and joint sponsor, American Academy of Actuaries, invite you to be a part of an exciting seminar for fall 2025. The Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar Working Group is soliciting your submission of proposals for presentations at the upcoming event scheduled for September 8-10, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA. Speakers are expected to travel in-person to the meeting to present.
General sessions will be 75-minutes long. Concurrent sessions will be 60-minutes long. Roundtables will be 50-minutes long. We will also be seeking half-day and full-day Workshops for Monday, September 8.
The 2025 proposal reviewers will pay particular attention to the following criteria:
- Content is informative and relevant, with clear and immediate application to the work of audience participants.
- Strong proposals will focus tightly on specific content rather than including every aspect of the topic. They will also include opportunities for learner engagement.
We appreciate your willingness to contribute to the actuarial body of knowledge.
Please note that we are accepting sessions for the following tracks:
- Advanced Reserving
- Financial Reporting
- General Sessions
- Healthcare/WC/MedProf
- InsurTech/AI
- Line of Business
- Professional Development
- Risk Management
- Roundtables
- Special Topics
- Workshops (Sept 8) – We are seeking workshops that will give actuaries hands-on experience applying current, open-source modeling tools, and insight into why the tools work.
Submissions that include “Bias” may be submitted under any of the above tracks.
Please note speakers must attend the event in-person. Preference will be given to presentation submissions with speakers representing multiple organizations.
