The Casualty Actuarial Society is excited to release a new video developed to orient all CAS volunteers, both new and returning, on the CAS Council Structure and Strategic Plan.

Sponsored by the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) Research Institute, the 16th Annual Survey of Emerging Risks Key Findings report provides insights into top concerns among risk managers.

In recognition of outstanding leadership and efforts within the insurance industry developing solutions for authenticity, inclusion and diversity, the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) has been honored with the 2022 Diversity and Inclusion Industry Champion of the Year award from Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS). GIS is the industry’s premier collegiate talent pipeline, serving over 5,000 students and 25,000 alumni from a growing network of over 100 colleges and universities throughout North America.

The CAS Nominating Committee wants your input on the slate of candidates for the 2023 CAS elections for the Board of Directors and President-Elect. Any member may submit a nomination, and if you are a Fellow of the CAS, you are welcome to nominate yourself. Fellows may also submit a petition to be placed on the ballot; see additional details on petitioning below.

On December 9, the CAS hosted a day-long virtual summit, covering a wide variety of topics impacting actuaries practicing in China.
