The American Academy of Actuaries’ Committee on Qualifications (COQ) has approved the release of a second exposure draft of the Qualification Standards for Actuaries Issuing Statements of Actuarial Opinion in the United States (USQS), and comments are invited.
2021 CAS Election

The 2021 CAS election ballot is now available to be completed online. Voting members (Associates who have been members at least five years and Fellows) will receive an email from our online elections vendor, Elections Online, inviting you to complete the ballot.
In advance of voting on the CAS Bylaws Proposal in conjunction with the CAS elections in August, CAS President Jessica Leong has shared this brief video message with the CAS Community.

The Board of Directors is proposing changes to the CAS Constitution and Bylaws to streamline the governance of the Society. Fellows will be asked to vote on the changes in conjunction with the 2021 CAS elections in August. In putting the proposals on the ballot, the Board is recommending that the Fellows vote in favor of the amendments.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) today announced that John Kleine, a sales and strategy leader with over 30 years of experience in business, product, and market development, has joined the CAS as the organization’s first chief growth officer (CGO). In this new role, the CGO will work with CAS executives and business unit leaders to create and implement strategies aimed at maximizing member value through a focus on sustainable organic and inorganic growth and expansion of the CAS footprint in the markets it serves.
