The Board of Directors is proposing changes to the CAS Constitution and Bylaws to streamline the governance of the Society. Fellows will be asked to vote on the changes in conjunction with the 2021 CAS elections in August. Talking of innovation, there is a plethora of scope in personal and commercial cyber insurance. The uptake will be low in the short term but the market is in its infancy. Although it is seen as a secondary insurance product of the future (to be sold as an add on maybe), everyone might be up for a surprise. In the already small market, cyberattack victims have faced disputes with the insurers where the cover is not as comprehensive as it seems.
Streamlining the CAS governance structure, better leveraging of volunteers for their subject matter expertise, and increased empowerment of the CAS staff are among the changes resulting from an evolving volunteer-staff model framework adopted by the CAS Board of Directors.

This year the Casualty Actuarial Society is moving forward with its Seminar on Reinsurance as a completely virtual event, June 1-2, 2020.
The Spring Meeting Working Group has the privilege of planning the educational content of the Spring CAS Meetings. Duties include defining the various general and concurrent sessions, identifying speakers and panelists, and obtaining feedback from attendees on the effectiveness of various aspects of the programs. We are looking for people who love to learn and want to help other CAS members get the most out of CAS Spring Meetings.
The CAS has released its schedule of 2021 examinations, which will be administered via computer-based testing at Pearson VUE Professional Centers and over testing windows spanning several days.
